Ableism & Activism - Month 6, Week 3 with Natasha Baebler, Teo Drake, Laura Sharkey, and RW Alves

December 6 - 10, 2021

Joining us this week are Natasha Baebler, Teo Drake, and Laura Sharkey. Disabled people often get marginalized in social justice and activist movements. Their voices and perspectives are vital to this project, and centering their perspectives and voices is an important component of an effective social justice movement that is truly inclusive and challenges the status quo. In this session, OTM co-founder Hala Khouri will interview three activists and teachers about their experience as disabled folks and what wisdom they can share with us about how to make our movement strong and effective.

This week's sessions will include:

  • Monday Lecture: Disability Justice | 2 - 3:15pm pdt | 5 - 6:15pm edt
  • Wednesday Practice: Anti-Ableist Movement and Interdependence in Practice | 9 - 10:15am pdt | 12 - 1:15pm edt
  • Friday Meditation: Note. Observe. Belong. | 9 - 10am pdt | 12 - 1pm edt

100% of your contribution to this course helps to support and sustain our network of community leaders, activists, our ongoing scholarship program, and our greater OTM community worldwide who are at the frontlines of change for our collective wellbeing. We greatly appreciate your support!

For your reference: Each week will consist of 3 (three) independent online offerings that will tie into one another and take you on a full experiential journey. The arc and content of this training has been very carefully designed, in deep collaboration with an incredible list of community leaders, activist, and educators.
